LANSING - Today the Teamsters Joint Council 43 announced their endorsement of Mayor Schor for reelection. Teamsters Joint Council 43 is affiliated with 13 local unions and their combined membership totals 65,000 industry workers in various public and private sector jobs. 

“Mayor Schor has shown his dedication to all workers of Lansing. He is a strong proponent of local business and industry and backs the people he represents. His commitment to Lansing and the residents, workers, and industries that live and work here has proven his effectiveness,” Bill Black, the Legislative Director for MI Teamsters said. “We look forward to continuing to work with Mayor Schor in the future as we both pursue prosperity for the people and workers of Lansing.”

I look forward to working with the Teamsters as both Lansing and Michigan recover from COVID and the economic challenges posed by the pandemic,” said Mayor Schor.

Teamsters Joint Council 43 is one of many union organizations to endorse Mayor Schor for reelection. Mayor Schor has a growing list of endorsers. He is joined by Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, nearly a dozen labor unions, small business owner Gregory Eaton, former Mayor Tony Benavides, and many other neighborhood leaders, Lansing and regional elected officials, small business owners, and others. Schor also recently finished the release of his vision for Lansing’s future, which will be updated throughout the campaign trail.
