LANSING - Ingham County Register of Deeds and former Lansing City Councilmember Derrick Quinney today joined other local and county leaders endorsing Mayor Andy Schor for a second term. Register Quinney serves as the 32nd Register of Deeds for Ingham County. Derrick Quinney has also been appointed to the Michigan Electronic Recording Commission by Governor Whitmer.

“Mayor Schor is a leader I put my trust in to bring this great city forward. He’s a proven leader who works to keep Lansing residents safe and the city prosperous to ensure a better future for everyone who calls Lansing home, like me,” said Register of Deeds Derrick Quinney.

“I greatly appreciate the endorsement of a great Lansing leader like Derrick Quinney, who served as a longtime city Councilmember and now is an exceptional Register of Deeds for our residents,” said Mayor Schor.  “Derrick has been a great friend to work alongside and consult with on many important issues of Lansing residents, and I look forward to the work that we will do together in the future.”

Register of Deeds Derrick Quinney joins the list of several Ingham County elected officials to endorse Mayor Schor, including County Drain Commissioner Patrick Lindemann, County Clerk Barb Byrum, and County Commissioners Mark Polsdofer, Robin Naeyart, Ryan Sebolt, and Todd Tennis.

Quinney and Schor are working in tandem with other leaders to ensure Lansing continues to develop equitably and is led in the right direction.

Mayor Schor has also been endorsed by U.S. Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, nearly a dozen labor unions, small business owner Gregory Eaton, former Mayor Tony Benavides, and many other neighborhood leaders, Lansing and regional elected officials, small business owners, and others. Schor also recently finished the release of his vision for Lansing’s future, which will be updated throughout the campaign trail.
