The Laborers’ Local Union 499 announced today their endorsement of State Representative Andy Schor in the 2017 election for Lansing Mayor.
“We are excited for the future of Lansing with Andy Schor as Mayor. We know there will be more development and jobs, and the hard working men and women of LiUNA are ready to help build Lansing,” said Dan Minton, Secretary-Treasurer of Laborers’ Local 499.
"I am excited for the building momentum of my campaign,” said Schor. “We continue to add supporters from the labor and business communities, and are talking to voters every day throughout Lansing. Laborers Local 499 is a welcome addition to our growing list of endorsements as it shows support from the men and women who build Lansing."
Schor has also received the endorsement of six other labor unions, the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors, four current and former Lansing area members of Michigan House of Representatives, State Senator Curtis Hertel Jr., over 30 Lansing area elected officials, many Lansing neighborhood leaders and many Lansing business leaders since he announced his candidacy.
