Today Lansing Mayor-Elect Andy Schor announced the dates and times for the transition committees that will provide input into issues important for the future of the city.
The Economic and Business Development Committee will meet on Thursday, December 7 from 9-11 AM at The Outfield located at 310 N. Cedar Street.
The Lansing School District will host the Education Committee at their administration building at 519 W. Kalamazoo Street on Friday, December 8 from 9-11 AM.
Schor's Neighborhoods and Public Safety Committee will gather at the Allen Neighborhood Center at 1611 E. Kalamazoo Street on the evening of Monday, December 11 from 6-8 PM.
The Infrastructure and City Services Committee will meet on Thursday, December 14 from 6-8 PM at the Lansing Board of Water and Light located at 1201 S. Washington Avenue.
A final town hall meeting to gather feedback on these and any other issues will be held on Monday, December 18 from 6-8 PM at the Urban Beat Event Center located at 1213 Turner Street.
“We spent our entire campaign talking to the citizens of Lansing about issues important to them, and I look forward to this part of the transition where we continue that conversation,” Schor said.
The committee members will be finalized shortly, and meetings are open to the public. For anyone who would like to provide input but is unable to attend the committees, one may submit information via the Mayor-Elect's website at www.andyschor.com
