June 13, 2017 (Lansing, Michigan) – The Greater Lansing Labor Council announced today their endorsement of State Representative Andy Schor to be the next Mayor of Lansing. The Greater Lansing Labor Council is a coalition of local labor/worker organizations working together to improve the lives of working families

"We’re proud to endorse Andy Schor as Lansing’s next Mayor. We have worked with Andy and like his style of leadership and his commitment to listen to the needs of all the people of Lansing so that we may move towards a better future,” said Glenn Freeman, President of the Greater Lansing Labor Council.

Schor expressed his thanks saying, “I am honored and excited to add the Greater Lansing Labor Council to the ever-increasing number of supporters, which include Lansing workers as well as business owners and leaders throughout the Lansing and regional community. This continues the growing momentum of support for my campaign which will create change for Lansing’s future.”

This endorsement follows that of 10 labor unions, four current and former Lansing area members of the Michigan House of Representatives,Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, many Lansing business leaders, the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors, over 30 Lansing area elected officials and many Lansing neighborhood leaders.
